Context

Why the first website release was only the starting point

Shortly before I joined Medisca, the organization had migrated from its legacy website to a new headless CMS platform. The initial launch established a modern technical foundation, but the website remained at an early level of maturity.

It offered limited page and component options, basic content structures, inconsistent product information, developing search capabilities, limited analytics visibility, and several opportunities to improve usability, SEO, customer journeys, governance and publishing workflows. The website transformation therefore did not end with the migration.

My role

What I directly owned and shaped

I helped mature the new platform through phased post-migration development across the United States, Canada English, Canada French and Australia websites.

My work combined hands-on Contentstack execution with structured content, UX, website search, product information, SEO, analytics, campaign support, QA, UAT, stakeholder collaboration and continuous website improvement.

My role was not maintaining a finished website. It was helping transform a newly migrated platform into a more scalable, searchable, measurable, and customer-focused digital experience.

Context

Why customers and internal terminology didn't always match

Medisca's website contained complex product information, technical terminology, resources and market-specific content. Customers didn't always know exact product names or use the same terminology as internal teams.

This could result in irrelevant results, repeated searches, search abandonment or zero-result experiences. The opportunity was to treat website search as a strategic customer journey and a source of customer intelligence — not simply as a search box.

My role

Search as a connected discovery system

I supported the analysis, configuration, optimization and continuous improvement of the Algolia search experience.

My work combined search behaviour, customer terminology, product information, taxonomy, content structure, analytics, SEO and business priorities.

A commerce-platform change, not just a website rebuild

Turpone needed to move from WordPress to Shopify to create a more manageable, scalable and commerce-focused digital platform.

The transformation involved more than transferring visible website content. It affected page architecture, products, collections, URLs, metadata, redirects, tracking, structured data, Merchant Center, local search, customer journeys, internal workflows and launch quality.

The business needed to modernize the website without unnecessarily losing useful content, SEO value, product visibility or customer familiarity.
